Estimates
Estimates are split up into different items. These Items are either “Fixed Rate” OR “Non Fixed Rate” (Hourly)
“Fixed Rate” Items once started will not change in price regardless of actual time needed to complete item or actual cost of materials needed. If item cannot be completed once started it will be returned to original state and will not be billed for. Items may need to be added and items that have not yet been started may need to be altered as the job progresses in which case you will be notified and must approve the new or altered item before work will continue. The other type of Items “Non Fixed Rate” (Hourly) items will be billed according to amount of time needed plus 30 min drive time per visit for labour and materials will be marked up as specified in Estimate.
Deposits
Deposit amounts very but are approximately the cost of materials and 25% of the labour and is due before project can start. Deposit will be held for the duration of the project and returned to client upon completion.
Deposits are required to secure a start date or a spot on the waiting list and are non refundable. Deposits commit you to the amount of work equal to the deposit only Ie a $10 000 Deposit on a $50 000 project only commits you to $10 000 of work.
Guarantee
All Labour and “Stock Items”(Items we keep on hand and purchase ongoing not on a job by job basis) are guaranteed for 365 days unless otherwise specified and if any item fails in craftsmanship or needs extra attention before that time we will resolve the issue at no extra cost
All “Fixed Rate & Non Fixed Rate Materials and Expenses ” are guaranteed only as specified by individual vendor and TradesGenie cannot offer any extra guarantee however we can offer guidance as to what materials to select. “Items On Hand” are Guaranteed as specified
Our guarantee is void and no repairs or alterations will take place if complaint is made with a past due balance. For example if payment was due on the 1st and client has an issue with the job on the 29th. guarantee may or may not be honoured until payment is made.
Standards
All work is done to a reasonable standard and depending on repaired item or existing structure work may not be done to same standard as a complete rebuild. Unless client specifies otherwise before work begins
All Items are done to quality to match existing property. Unless client specifies otherwise before work begins.
All materials are selected based on Technicians recommendation. Unless client specifies otherwise before work begins.
Minor project decisions will be made by based on Technicians recommendation. Unless client specifies otherwise before work begins.
ie. direction doors will open, location of towel racks, outlet locations, counter top height, etc
Proof of Purchase
For “Non Fixed Rate Materials and Expenses” Proof of purchase will be presented to client. For “Fixed Rate Material and Expenses proof of purchase will not be presented. Clients are welcome to view receipts upon request buy an extra administration charge will be incurred.
